Dishes for Dishes
CALL TO ARTISTS in the Vernon, BC area.
The Vernon Community Potters, a member group of ACNO, is hosting an exhibition at the VCAC, February 7-March 4, 2011 entitled Dishes for Dishes. Potters will be working with local chefs to produce dishes to meet their specific menu requirements. We are inviting other artisans and artists to join us in this BC Festivals event.
We are inviting you all – painters, woodworkers, glass workers, textile people, all media – to help us to fill the Arts Centre with a wealth of art and craft to celebrate the theme of Dishes for Dishes and local food. There will be a fancy opening reception. Most works will be for sale. Many other events and shows will take place in the Vernon area during this festival month.
We have received funding for advertising and promotion and expect this to be a premier event. This is a major opportunity for all of us so please keep this event in mind when planning your new works. All media are welcome and must be checked into the Centre NO LATER THAN February 4th, 12:00 noon.
The opportunity is open to artists in the Vernon area.
The reception will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 6:00-8:00 pm.
